My Christmas time

Hi guys.
How are you?? I guess pretty well when we have this Chrismas period of time, right?
I would like to share with you today my experiences. I am gonna tell you how it works in my family during Christmas, what we do, eat, drink and so on.  Today for instance I have been watching fairy tales all day long.

Tree of wishes (Strom splněných přání)

Some of you may know what I am talking about. If not, don´t worry, I am gonna explain you right now.
Every year I go with my mother and brother to the shopping centre in Liberec where there is this Tree of wishes. All children without home (children from orphanages) across the country can make a wish. I like helping people, especially children and if they do not have anybody who spend Christmas with, it is sad. So, at least my family buy some presents for them. Last year we chose 3 kids- 1, 5, 14 years old. This year we bought presents to only one kid. His name is Milan.

Christmas day
So, this year was different. My brother is still in England and he is coming in the middle of January. Thus he couldn´t be with us for Christmas. Yes, I have to start to get used to it, I know that. Thank God I have three cats and they are such as good company.

Presents for my father, grandmother and my aunt
Every year I go to my father on 25.12. But Like I said before, this year is different. So, I took a car and went to say hello (and give presents to my father and after that to my grandmother and aunt) during the morning.

Zoo Liberec
Then I went with my mother to ZOO. There was a free entrance so full of people, obviously. However I gave them some money because it is a Christmas and it is all about giving, right?

Feeding the animals in the forest
Every year we go to some forest in Liberec and bring something like carrot, bread etc. for animals who live there. We have this tradition since I was a little girl.

Preparing Christmas dinner
This year I decided that I wanna try to cook Carp fries (the recipe comes from south of Czech). Carp is a typical fish for a Christmas dinner in the Czech Republic. We eat it with popato salad (I don´t like it). Before it we serve carp soup. I don´t like carp but I love Carp fries.

Unwraping presents
Ok, I have to confess to something. Before I left to Barcelona my mother and stepfather gave me money for my birthday and also for Christmas because I told them that I plan to stay in Barcelona till the end of the year. However plans change and I came home sooner. I was so worried that I will have no presents under the Christmas tree that I put there some stuff which I already bought for that money during summer ( I spent the rest of the money I don´t know how). It turned out that there was no need to do that because I got a lot of presents anyway. Actually most of presents there were for me.

You can see below what I got for Christmas. I am still looking forward to presents from my brother (I hope for something very cool from England) and my father because we will celebrate it all together in January.

So, how was your Christmas, guys? I only miss snow a bit but it´s not such as big problem.
I put here a photo with Christmas tree in Liberec, which is my hometown.

Hopefully see you all here (meaning my blog) in 2014. Happy New Year and trust me 2014 is gonna be big :-)

How was my Erasmus life in Barcelona

Hola chicos.
My Erasmus life in Barcelona is over now. I am a bit sad because I love this city very much and I would like to stay a bit longer, obviously. However everything has an ending.  So, I will just say one thing: my erasmus life in Barcelona as well as in Lisbon was just amazing and I have so many wondeful memories which I will remember forever...

Party&Bars&Restaurants
Yes, it is true. Erasmus is more or less about party. At least once or twice per week I was going to drink my favourite Mojito to bar Rosa Negra. Sometimes I went to club (my friends in Barcelona are not as "party animals" as I am, so it was only few times), or it was just house party. Don´t forget a restaurant once per week. Anyway, In Barcelona you have so many amazing places, so you just need to choose one.

 Travelling
I love travelling. It is like my biggest love. What I had to see during my erasmus:
1. The Capital- Madrid (of course I had to visit the capital of Spain). Then we went to Escorial and Zaragoza.
2. trip to mountain- Montserrat. I like hiking and Montserrat is the best place.
3. trips around Barcelona- Costa Brava, Figueres, Girona, Sitges, Taragona.
4. go by plane- Ibiza. Of course I had to go somewhere by plane. It is like a duty for erasmus people :-) Also we took a ferry to Formentera (the island with one of the best beaches in Europe).
5. bicycle tour- with my couchsurfing friends. I am so happy that I had this opportunity.

Visits from the Czech Republic
My visitors were: my classmate from uni Lucka, my mother and her boyfriend, engaged couple (in that time, now already married) Marketa and Frantisek

Beach 15 min. from my house
Yes, I had the best location. My house was only 15 min. by walk from the beach. So, you can imagine how I was spending my weekends. The beach in Badalona is much more better than the one in Barcelona. It is not so crowded and there is a lower possibility that somebody will rob you.

Trips by motor scooters with my local friends
Yes, I have some friends from Barcelona. Guille, who I know from my Erasmus in Lisbon and Roger who I met though couchsurfing. They took me few times to Barcelona by scooter and showed me around. Thank you very much, guys. I love motor scooters ever since and I wanna buy one for myself in the future.

Internship
I was working in Web marketing department which was really nice experience for me. I have learnt something new and I am very grateful that I had a chance like this.

at work

my internship was in this building
Gaudi as a symbol of Barcelona
We have decided (me and my colleague Petra) that we wanna see all important buildings by Gaudi in Barcelona. I gotta admit that it cost us lots of money but I do not regret at all. It is totally worth it, trust me. I am also very fascinated by his architecture.
- Sagrada Familia (the entrance is around 20 euros)
- Casa Mila or " La Pedrera" (the entrance is 16,5 euro)
- Casa Batllo (the entrance is around 17 euros)
- Palau Guell (the entrance is 8 euros)
- Parc Guell (the entrance is 8 euros)

Shopping
Oh my God, I love shopping. The best brand in Barcelona for me was Zara. It is a Spanish brand so they have really everything (not like in another countries where you can buy barely half of the things). I mean, do they have a perfumes in your country, for example?

Barcelona, I never say goodbye. So, I guess see you later then.

Fashion chronicle: My dresses by H&M

Ola chicas.
As you already know I like H&M, a lot. Recently I found out that I have many dresses from this brand. All of them I bought in England, only last one are from Barcelona. Sometimes, I like some pieces of clothes in more colours and I can't decide which one I like more so I just buy both (when there is a good price, of course).

I usually wear this dress with leggings or when I go to the beach.

This dress cost me 3 pounds, I think. I wear it also when I go to the beach. The photo is from the beach in Badalona (suburb of Barcelona).

This dress I will remember forever because I was wearing it during my graduation in England.

party in Ibiza, shoes: H&m,

Yes, I have the same in grey colour. It was so cheap and I couldn' t resist. I wear it when I go to the club because it is quite luxury look. What do you think?

When I was studying in England something changed in terms of my fashion style. I started to be more open when I saw all the girls in dresses every single day (even when was fucking cold). So, 3 years ago I would never wear dress like this.

The thing is that I wanted this dress in blue colour in the first place. However I couldn't find it in any shop. So, I bought the one above. Then one day I found it in blue so I had to buy it, obviously.

It was in sale and cost me 3 pounds. Who could resist, right?

Christmas is coming to Barcelona

Hola chicos.
The time passes quite fast and I am coming back to Liberec very soon ( which means Christmas with lots of snow and cold weather). In last few days the weather was just incredible, around 16 degree. However I never believed that I say this: I miss you snow (probably if I was in the Czech Republic now I would gladly accept the offer of warm weather and sea as I have here right now).

Do you wanna see how it looks like before Christmas in Barcelona? Check the photos below.
